Role Objective

Shackleton is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Integration to lead and evolve its integration function, ensuring the successful onboarding and alignment of acquired businesses. This role is critical to realising post-acquisition value and driving strategic outcomes across the organisation.

The successful candidate will lead a dedicated integration team, refine and implement integration playbooks, and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions and cultural alignment. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, operational rigour, and a deep understanding of the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end integration of acquired businesses, ensuring alignment with Shackleton’s strategic goals.
  • Manage and develop the integration team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Refine and implement integration frameworks, playbooks, trackers, and KPIs.
  • Collaborate closely with the M&A team, acquired business leadership, and functional heads to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Identify and mitigate integration risks, ensuring business continuity and cultural alignment.
  • Drive post-acquisition value creation through operational efficiencies, synergies, and strategic alignment.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, bringing people on the journey and managing change.
  • Monitor and report on integration progress, outcomes, and lessons learned.
  • Travel regularly between offices and acquired sites to support integration activities.

Person specification

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ minimum experience in the IFA Market and dealing with Provider Platform.

Knowledge and experience

  • Proven track record in leading complex business integrations, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment.
  • Experience working in a multi-site organisation with a history of acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of M&A processes, post-merger integration, and value creation strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing integration frameworks and KPIs.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity and change.
