In September 2024, Skerritts, one of the co-founders of Shackleton, announced the acquisition of Harrogate-based Ellis Bates Financial Advisers. This strategic move strengthens Shackleton’s presence in the North of England as the group continues to accelerate its national expansion. Shackleton, headquartered in London, is a Chartered financial adviser and wealth manager committed to delivering exceptional client service nationwide.

In March 2021, Sovereign Capital Partners, a UK private equity Buy & Build specialist, made a significant £55 million investment in Skerritts (now Shackleton). This funding supports a dual growth strategy of organic development and targeted acquisitions, leading to the addition of new offices across Sussex, Chester, Kent, Hampshire, Surrey, Yorkshire, Scotland, and London.
