Shackleton continues to drive its customer focus with a duo of senior appointments

Marcus Bolitho appointed as Chief Marketing Officer
Will Gold becomes Head of Communications

London – 29 October 2025. Shackleton Advisers Limited (“Shackleton”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus Bolitho and Will Gold as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Communications respectively, effective 1 October.

These senior hires demonstrate the strength of Shackleton’s commitment to becoming Britain’s Financial Adviser, providing high-quality, fair, trustworthy and affordable financial advice across the country. They also underscore the importance that Shackleton attaches to providing clients with both clear and relevant communications.

Commenting on the appointments, Shackleton CEO Paul Feeney said: “Having known Marcus and Will professionally since 2008, I have seen and admired first-hand the quality of their work over many years. They will play an instrumental role in supporting our clients and advisers, as we make our distinctive financial planning proposition available to people across Britain. They were instrumental in supporting us on a consultancy basis with the successful launch of the Shackleton brand and I am delighted, therefore, that we have been able to attract them on a permanent basis, bringing their expertise, skill, energy and drive into the Shackleton team.”

Prior to their most recent positions at global equities boutique Goodhart Partners LLP, in May 2024 Marcus and Will co-founded Bold Partners, a specialist marketing consultancy, with Shackleton rapidly becoming one of their most significant clients. They both bring considerable financial services experience to Shackleton, with previous roles including Global Head of Marketing and Head of Investment Marketing, respectively, at Jupiter Asset Management and Old Mutual Global Investors/Merian Global Investors.

Bolitho added: “Having helped to launch Shackleton, it was an honour to be invited to join the firm on a permanent basis, and to have the opportunity to support it on its journey to becoming a national champion brand in its category. The need for fair, affordable financial advice has never been greater, and I wholeheartedly believe that Shackleton will be the firm that restores both access to and trust in the profession. I am thrilled at the prospect of helping it to do just that.”

Gold concluded: “It has become abundantly clear that the financial planning market in the UK was ripe for disruption. The timeless values that sit at the heart of Shackleton resonate strongly with me, and I believe that they will resonate with people right across Britain. This is a business that is being built with a powerful focus on doing what is right for consumers, and I’m looking forward hugely to supporting the firm’s clients and advisers over the years ahead.”
