Caitlin Loynd

Having arrived in the UK in 1997, I have worked continually in UK financial services, in both the product provider and independent financial advice sectors, in a variety of roles.

Since 2002 I have been a fully qualified independent financial adviser working with both private and corporate clients at different firms, based in both London and Glasgow. I achieved Chartered Financial Planner status in 2015 and am a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS).

My main advisory specialism is retirement planning, as I have an extensive background in providing defined benefit pension transfer advice for over 20 years. Most of my day-to-day advisory work concerns helping our clients define their retirement goals and set in place the appropriate planning to achieve their desired outcomes: not an easy task given the dynamic nature of UK pension taxation rules!

Alongside this, I provide the full gamut of investment and financial planning advice to clients as part of our ongoing service proposition. On occasion, this will also include more specialist tax, protection, and trust work for clients with more complex estate planning needs.

Outside of work, aside from spending time with my family and friends I enjoy leisure activities such as playing cello, reading, watching films, listening to music, and engaging in various needlecraft pursuits including knitting and quilting.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada to an American mother and English father, I am a lifelong baseball fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. When visiting my North American friends and family, I have enjoyed going to watch Blue Jays play at the Toronto Rogers Centre, but have also attended live Major League Baseball (MLB) games in San Francisco, Phoenix, and Seattle.
