I have been advising clients for more than 25 years and have built up a wealth of knowledge both working within financial services and previously running my own business.

In the past I have worked for UK banks, most recently in the City for HSBC as an IFA.

I am a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. I am an Affiliate of the Society and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and hold the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), plus certificates in Mortgage advice, Discretionary Fund Management, Pension Transfer Advice, and the Award in Long Term Care Insurance.

For me, meeting people and getting to know what they want to achieve, and then delivering on this, is the best part of the job.

Working with a client, I build a reviewable plan to target the best possible outcome and include an underpin should this not quite go to plan.

A client once said to me that I had changed his life which for me, was a real “wow” moment. I get a real sense of pride when a client personally refers a friend or family member to me based on how we have worked together.

My main areas of expertise include investment, retirement, and estate planning which I bring together to compliment client outcomes.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, including my (soon to be) 4 grandchildren, attending sporting events, concerts, and the theatre.
My major passion was playing rugby union and I have a season ticket to Murrayfield (my wife is Scottish, and it’s much cheaper than Twickenham). Now my rugby playing days are over, I play badminton which doesn’t come with too many injuries!
I have also travelled quite extensively over my lifetime.
